Silkscreen monoprints are images that use a stencil under a silkscreen mesh (made from paper, or exposed photographically to the mesh) to create repeated elements, with otherwise unique qualities. If they are part of an edition, they will have similar elements, sometimes with similar colors or different marks, or some elements eliminated.
This original print is not a reproduction - it is printed by hand using silkscreen methods to layer ink on paper. Artworks are created in small batches, or editions. Each is slightly different, and equally original.
This print was made in an edition of 30, with 5 additional Artist’s proofs. The edition of 30 is divided among 30 participants in a trade portfolio, and these 5 I keep to sell directly to you.
